Columbus Community Playgroup prepares your child for success!

Introduction

Located in Durham Region, close to Brooklin, Oshawa, Whitby, Port Perry and surrounding areas, the Columbus Community Playgroup Co-Operative Inc. (CCPC) was founded in 1987 as a non-profit, licensed pre-school for children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years.  We have two morning classes and one afternoon class.  In addition, our Playgroup is open Friday mornings during the school year for a community drop-in.  See all our Program Details!

Our School

Columbus Community Playgroup and our teachers seek to provide a dynamic curriculum based on music, art, free play, physical activity and reading to provide our students with a well rounded educational and social experience.  Classrooms are designed to enhance children's language skills, develop a sense of independence and encourage advancement of both fine and gross motor skills.

Philosophy

The Columbus Community Playgroup is a non-profit, licensed co-operative that aims to provide a warm, secure social environment for young children and their caregivers.  We value parental involvement and require ongoing parental assistance in order to provide a positive learning experience for all.

We invite you to come visit our playgroup and learn more about our philosophy.
